Truth before a promise
We explain when a route looks unsuitable, what is missing, and which decisions remain with universities, scholarship providers and visa authorities.
We help Ethiopian students make thoughtful decisions about studying abroad. From the first shortlist to the first weeks in a new country, our aim is to make each step clearer and each expectation more realistic.
Via Pathways is a study abroad consultancy serving students from Ethiopia. Our perspective comes from navigating international study ourselves and seeing how much a student needs to understand beyond an acceptance letter.
We work with applicants moving from high school to a bachelor’s degree and from a bachelor’s degree to a master’s. Italy is a particularly familiar route; we also explore Austria, the Republic of Cyprus, Turkey and Poland, alongside individually researched opportunities in China, Canada and other destinations.
We are building Via around careful research and direct conversations. Every recommendation should fit a real person’s academic background, interests, timing and financial circumstances.
Families deserve more than a list of universities. They deserve an honest view of the effort, costs, opportunities and uncertainty ahead.
We explain when a route looks unsuitable, what is missing, and which decisions remain with universities, scholarship providers and visa authorities.
We begin with your qualifications, interests, language, budget and intended intake before suggesting a destination or programme.
We talk about housing, money, paperwork, classroom expectations and adjustment, alongside the possibilities that make studying abroad exciting.

Habib studied for a bachelor’s degree in Digital Economics and Business in Italy and also studied at Poznań University of Economics and Business in Poland. He completed an internship in Cardiff, Wales, UK, and is currently pursuing a master’s degree at the University of Bologna in Italy.
Those experiences have taken him through more than one academic setting and the practical side of moving, studying and working abroad. They inform the questions Via asks students: Does the programme fit? What does the process require? What will everyday life look like once you arrive?
The right opportunity should make sense when you look closely at its requirements and the life around it.
